There are no other beings here but dragons from the vast Erestrial sea to the shining isle of Abba Tannin.
Each dragon has a special soul-like fire called Whitefire which keeps them alive and gives them the power of telepathy. There are nine species of dragons in Laskhyra, representing a fragile balance between the continents they inhabit.
They all owe their allegiance to the Royal family, who united the dragon species and maintained peace throughout Laskhyra over hundreds of years. While on the outside peace reigns throughout Laskhyra, on the inside dragons are vicious and prone to war. It's a fragile balance that must be protected.
The young Princess Skydiver was given the responsibility of the Kingdom when she was three years old. She's put off truly ruling for most of her life, gratefully leaving the power of her crown to her advisors and relations. At age fifteen, terrified of failure and paralyzed with fear, the Princess can no longer avoid her destiny and has no choice but to become the dragoness her mother always wanted her to be ...
Meanwhile, Davy is an innocent dragoneen, barely figuring out his way in the world. He's shy, reserved, and loves nothing more than to spend his free afternoons painting, lost in a world of light and color. On his very first day of school he discovers quite on accident that he is a Blueflame, not a Whitefire. Suddenly, his life is thrown into turmoil and he barely escapes the classroom with his life.
What he doesn't know is that his story has only begun, and there is much more going on in Laskhyra than anydragon really knew...
