I am a young author with huge dreams and my hope in Christ my savior.
From the beginning, I've always loved words. As soon as my homeschooling mother taught me how to read, I loved devouring books and could often be found hiding under tables, tucked in couch nooks, and curled up on staircases with my nose in a book and my mind in wonderful, fantastical lands.
From The Green Ember to The Chronicles of Narnia, imaginary worlds and the power of words captivated my heart, mind, and imagination. Words filled my head, and I needed somewhere to store them.
So I began to write.
At the ripe young age of twelve, I began to write my very first novel. At first, I wrote for my own pleasure. I enjoyed getting lost in a new kind of story -- my own. But as time passed and I began to share my stories, I gradually became aware of the power they held.
They could make others smile.
They could make others cry.
They could make others hope.
The power of stories led me to realize what I wanted to do with my life.
I intend to be a successful author, writing stories of heart and hope for the glory of God.
My dream is more than being known for my words, whatever worth they might have. My dream is to genuinely touch others, help them, and bring them to the greatest Light. My life means nothing if I do not do what I have been called to do – my words will only resound as an empty cymbal crashing on dead hearts.
Even more than love of writing is my love for my Lord and Savior. Because of this Great Love that came first from Him, I want to share the story of salvation with all peoples through the power of words. Christ is the only reason for everything that I do. Without Him, I have no meaning in life. With Him, I intend to change the world using my words and His superior Word, and use my career to further His Kingdom.
When I'm not crafting worlds, imagining dragons exist, or making my characters suffer through arduous journeys, I can usually be found reading greater works than mine, playing (and losing) card and board games with friends and family, dancing randomly in grocery stores like the homeschooler that I am, folding origami dragons out of old book paper, and living to fight another day against the nefarious and time-consuming pile of laundry that comes with living in a family of seven.
